One of the things I love about being a designer is that it calls for versatility. We must have the ability to adapt to different needs using our ever-evolving toolkit. My experience in industry directly relates to our class(es) because of the hands-on skills I have developed along the way through designing, iterating, communicating, and delivering results.

Industry Background:

Oliver Healthcare Packaging
Designed within a fast-paced environment creating medical device packaging systems for sterile environments on behalf of medical device manufacturers. Assisted with the generation of marketing display samples such as CleanCut cards, printed lids and pouches, shelf cartons, and shippers.

MIT BWSI Assistive Technology Teaching Assistant
Developed detailed STEM curriculum to educate high school students about codesigning in collaboration with local people with disability-related challenges. Students were engaged in the design process, technical skills development, and documentation to grow their engineering and design capabilities.

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design
Completed design courses, explored topics like human factors, sustainable materials, and electronics, used high-tech labs (3D printing, laser cutting), and completed studio projects focusing on creating innovative, user-centered products, culminating in a final project that solved real-world problems.
